Most people thought Singapore is an expensive country to travel to. But didn’t you know that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to enjoy Singapore’s popular attractions? All you need to have is a strong stamina, comfy shoes and ezlink card with you for your daily transportation around Singapore.

Singapore Changi Airport

From the very first time you stepped out from the airplane, you would definitely feel excited to explore the best airport in the world! It was just three years ago when I first landed to Singapore, and I was still in awe for the second time around as it is even more high-end now. Of course, you wouldn’t miss the check-in experience and the automated immigration on your departure. Sharing my whole Changi Airport experience is not enough on a 3-minute blog.

Gardens by the Bay

A 101 hectares world of garden. If I live in Singapore, I would definitely take a walk here everyday and I won’t get tired of it. So many attractions to choose from. Other attractions have admission fees but entering this national garden is free to everyone just by walking around with all these scenic views. There are so many beautiful views to capture and you will get to see closer the popular Marina Bay Sands Hotel and the Supertree Grove.

Garden Rhapsody Show

You may want to stay at Gardens by the Bay until evening to see the Garden Rhapsody Show. The supertrees will illuminate the night sky with dancing lights and music. The show is daily at 7:45pm and 8:45pm. So grab your best spot to enjoy it. SheenaS travel tip: You can lay on the floor to fully enjoy the show. That’s what the locals do! Try it!

And again, it’s for free!

Marina Bay Sands Water and Light Show

Did you miss the Garden Rhapsody? No worries because there is water and light show at Marina Bay too. So always grab your best spot before the show, which always starts at 8pm and 9:30pm daily. There is another show at 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. I can’t believe these shows are free!

Marina Bay

Many locals and tourists are just walking around the Marina Bay while being mesmerized with the amazing skyline and I could say it’s really the highlight of Singapore. There are many benches along the way so if you get tired you can sit and take a pose with the iconic buildings as your background and of course don’t forget to take a picture with the mythical symbol of Singapore, the Merlion.

Sentosa Island

Aside from the popular Universal Studio Singapore, didn’t you know that there are other activities to do on this island? All you need to do is go to Vivo City and from there ride the monorail express going to Sentosa. Alight at Imbiah Station to get a picture of the big Merlion. Next station is the Beach Station where you can have a walk around the beaches for free and get to see the Southern Most Point of Continental Asia.

Singapore Botanic Garden

The Singapore’s First UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is no admission fee except for the National Orchid Garden. For me, this place is really a treasure. I’ve seen a lot of locals jogging around, having picnic with families and friends, throwing a birthday bash and you can even spend quality time with your furry best friend because you can bring your pets too! It’s really a beautiful place to be with your loved ones.

Temples in the City

If you have read my previous blogs about Singapore, temples are in my itinerary. There are no admission fees. Your Singapore travel won’t be complete without visiting their temples.

Libraries in Singapore

Feeling nostalgic. I was able to visit a public library in Yishun, it’s called Yishun Public Library. From borrowing to returning books, everything I was seeing is in a different level. Since Singapore is recognized as one of the most “technology-ready” country, no doubt their libraries are advanced in technology too. So, it’s always a great experience to explore libraries in a high-tech country.

So my lovely readers, did I change your perception about this beautiful country? Hope I did!
